Based in Toronto, I specialize mainly in beer historical writing, with Britain frequently a focus. I cover spirits, food, and travel as well. I publish frequently at my blog,, founded in 2015. I also write for journals and other publications. I also appear regularly at beer-related and other conferences, and judge at competitions.

What do you like most about being a Guild of Beer Writers member?
