What is the one thing you'd like to tell visitors to the Guild's website?

I specialize mainly in beer history, but cover food as well. I am known for my beer historical writing in my voluminous blog and in learned journals. I have made dozens of original finds in beer history. I am also known for my recreation of an 1870 English pale ale with a Toronto-based brewery. Finally, it is the writing that speaks for itself.

What you can offer as a writer/beer lover?

Expertise and commitment with a unique blend of specialist knowledge but also humour.

What do you like most about being a Guild of Beer Writers member?

The chance to interact with others in a way, hopefully, that social media doesn’t afford me.
