A regular contributor to the York branch of CAMRA’s award-winning magazine, Ouse Boozer, and Mike’s Tap Room website.

What you can offer as a writer/beer lover?

As an active CAMRA member holding various officer posts, Matthew has contributed to the York branch of CAMRA’s award-winning publication, Ouse Boozer, for over 10 years, primarily writing reports of trips to breweries and pubs and about the beers consumed. For the past few years, Matthew has concentrated on his own regular column about beer styles, with the aim of providing more information about beer styles to the general beer drinking public. As a finance professional with a specialism in the brewing sector, Matthew has also written finance-related articles for several trade publications, including Brewers Journal, Craft Beer World and Bar Magazine and his work can be found on the Beer Today website.

What do you like most about being a Guild of Beer Writers member?

I’m proud to play a part in informing people about beer and encouraging people to try new beer styles.
