What is the one thing you'd like to tell visitors to the Guild's website?

Since joining the Guild of Beer Writers committee in 2012, Paul has been responsible for organising the Guild’s programme of evening lectures and workshops for members that are held at the White Horse in Parsons Green.

What you can offer as a writer/beer lover?

Paul Hegarty is the Honorary Secretary to the All Party Parliamentary Beer Group. The largest All Party Group in Westminster, its role is to remind elected politicians of the vital role that beer and pubs in the UK economy and to the British way of life. Paul joined Bass Brewers as a research scientist in 1986. He held several different technical roles including the dream job of managing beer tasting across the companies’ 12 breweries! He moved into communication when the company became Coors in 2002 and was responsible for managing the Beer Naturally campaign to promote the image of beer and became Head of Communication for Coors in the UK in 2005. From 2010 to 2014, Paul acted as a constant for clients including Drinkaware, the British Beer and Pub Association, the Institute of Brewing & Distilling, the Beer Academy, CAMRA and PASS – the national proof of age scheme. He also lectures on Crisis Management at Nottingham University.
