Apprentices at Craft Academy

Ahead of National Apprenticeship Week at the beginning of March, Craft Academy is extending an invitation to any Guild member who would like to visit their micro-brewery in Herne Hill.  It’s an opportunity to walk in a beer-brewing apprentice’s shoes for the day and learn about what they do – and help with a bit of brewing.

Craft Academy is a beer brand almost exclusively run by its apprentices; founded on the principle that young people who have the drive to succeed, should be offered the opportunity to realise it.

Each recruit is given the chance to experience every sector of the business, including sales, marketing and brewing. They will also get the chance to create and develop their own beer and pitch it in to prospective stockists, giving them a really well rounded perspective of the industry

The apprentices can speak about their own journeys, being an apprentice in London, why the scheme is important and how they think it will impact their futures.
