‘Art Out To Help Out’ Campaign Set To Launch Across 40 Nottingham Bars

Nottingham Craft Beer Week (NCBW) and Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) are launching an art giveaway across 40 Nottingham bars, pubs and bottleshops this month. A set of limited edition postcards, designed by Nottingham-based The Art of Beer and featuring each individual bar, will be given away free to customers with any purchase.

There are 300 of each print available at each venue (limited to one per customer). Unlike the government endorsed ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ scheme, ‘Art Out To Help Out’ will be available all day every day during the opening hours of each venue. The campaign begins on Monday 14 September and will continue until all postcards are claimed from each venue.

Seth, the artist from Art of Beer who designed the postcards, said: “I’m a big fan of Nottingham Craft Beer Week and I’m a regular patron at many of these pubs and bars. It was a pleasure to draw them all. I hope my artwork can contribute to a much-needed revival in our brilliant local beer industry.”

Nottingham Craft Beer Week is sponsored and Supported by Nottingham BID, who do public-facing work under the It’s In Nottingham brand. NCBW is one of a range of initiatives they contribute resources to, which also includes Light Night, Hockley Hustle, Nottingham Young Creative Awards, Nottinghamshire Pride and Wigflex City Festival.

In March 2020 Nottingham Craft Beer Week was named as the UK’s Best Independent Craft Beer Promotion by SIBA (the Society of Independent Brewers). The award was announced at the Beer X industry event at Liverpool Exhibition Centre and was voted for by a panel of industry experts. The Nottingham Ale Trails, another project led by Nottingham BID, was also shortlisted at these awards.

Jared Wilson, Director of Nottingham Craft Beer Week, said: “We had a lot of exciting activities planned for Nottingham Craft Beer Week this year, but unfortunately we had to change all of them. The artwork we commissioned from Seth at The Art of Beer was originally intended to form an exhibition. I’m happy we can still use it to help out the venues at this tough time for the pub industry. I’d also like to thank Nottingham BID as, without their support, we wouldn’t be able to do any of this.”
