Award Winning Alcohol-Free Beer Made Differently

Choosing not to drink alcohol shouldn’t mean choosing to compromise.

Introducing Freestar: The FIRST EVER alcohol-free beer made using an alcohol-free process that tastes and looks like your usual pint.

Their carefully crafted alcohol-free beer is blended with malted barley, hops and water with 100% natural ingredients – including pomelo and bergamot adding refreshing citrusy hints to an already full bodied flavour profile.

Freestar is also the 2019 World Beer Award Winner in the UK Low Alcohol Category.

Freestar Beer:

  • Gluten-free
  • Vegan friendly
  • 62 Calories per bottle
  • Low in sugar
  • 100% Alcohol-free
  • All packaging is 100% recyclable

Freestar’s ground-breaking technique in brewing means they use 80% less water and create 70% less waste in its production than the industry standard.

The typical brewing process combines water, malted barley, hops and yeast to create full strength beer and then removes the alcohol.

Freestar doesn’t use yeast, so no alcohol is ever created. Instead, it blends malted barley, hops and water with 100% natural ingredients – including pomelo and bergamot – and removes nothing, guaranteeing a 0.0% ABV beer, with no flavour lost.

Co-founder of Freestar Charlie Crawley says: “Freestar’s production process retains the complex flavours of  beer often lost by the de-alcoholisation process. Our beer is predominantly made up of bitter, floral hops and a rich malted barley. The result is a delicious and award winning alcohol free beer. The process is also much more efficient and sustainable. We use 80% less water and create 70% less waste than other methods.”

The result is a full flavoured 100% alcohol-free beer.

Freestar is also a B Corporation Pending Certification: Freestar has committed to running a responsible business, independently measured and assessed across 4 categories, Community, Environment, People and Governance.
