Badger Beer launches Red Ramble in time for the autumn

Badger Beer, from Hall & Woodhouse, brewed in Dorset since 1777, is launching a new ruby red seasonal beer called Red Ramble, which takes its inspiration from the autumnal woodland walks across Dorset and the vivid colours that the leaves provide at this time of year.

The 4% ABV beer has a deep biscuit-malt taste from the crystal rye, crystal malt and small amount of comforting chocolate malt, as well as a distinctive hop character derived from the Jester and Amarillo hops. The pump clip uses warm autumnal hues, a wood effect print and the die cut Dorset coastline to remind drinkers of the beauty of this stretch of coastline and the endless walks it offers.

The beer is available on cask in select Hall & Woodhouse public houses across the south of England, from September until November, supported by branded glassware and PoS kits including posters and tent cards.

Toby Heasman, head brewer for Badger Beer, says: “We are delighted to be launching our new ruby red seasonal beer, Red Ramble, for autumn drinkers. Red Ramble is designed to be a great lunchtime or evening beer, and despite being 4% ABV the complexity of the malt grist makes for a full-bodied mouth-feel.

“The combination of the crystal rye malt, the dark crystal malt and a dash of chocolate malt provide a great depth of colour which reflects the autumn leaves when combined with our Flagon premium ale malt. This combinationgives a full biscuit body to the beer that then allows the Anglo American hop charge of Amarillo and Jester to provide a fruity depth of character to this beer.”

In addition to Red Ramble, the Badger cask range comprises: The Legendary Tangle Foot, Fursty Ferret and Badger Best Bitter, available exclusively in Hall & Woodhouse’s pub estate across the South of England. Tangle Foot, Fursty Ferret, Golden Champion, Hopping Hare, The Cranborne Poacher, and The Blandford Fly are also available in 500ml glass bottles. Tangle Foot and Fursty Ferret are available in 500ml cans. Badger also has a new crafted beer called The Wicked Wyvern, available in 330ml cans and on keg in the Hall & Woodhouse estate.
