As a first for 2020 venues and organisations from across Yorkshire are invited to submit a short proposal for an event to be included within the Women On Tap 2020 Fringe programme.

Your event must meet the following criteria:

  • Your event must give the spotlight to a woman or women who are rising talent, have broken or are breaking new ground, or are established experts in their field.
  • It must showcase excellence or innovation in beer, with a focus on the north.
  • The proposing organisation should be able to demonstrate a core commitment to both principles of equality and beer excellence.

Founder Rachel Auty explains more: “We’ve been approached by a number of venues over the last year about getting involved, so we wanted to open up the opportunity to be a part of the 2020 festival. At the moment, there is still just three of us organising the festival in our spare time, so we have to focus our efforts on the core Harrogate events as there’s a limit to the amount we can take on. This is a way we can expand the festival in a feasible way. We’d love to see it spread across Yorkshire, and if it works well maybe even much further in 2021.”

Accepted fringe events will benefit from being included in Women On Tap Festival 2020 programme and marketing, and venues/ organisations will have permission to use the logo and branding within their own marketing for the event.

Please note, all fringe event organisers are responsible for promoting their event, selling tickets, communicating with bookers and delivering the event. Women On Tap cannot be held responsible for fringe events.
