FRIDAY 5TH MAY, FROM 7PM
Neptune Tutored Tasting & Ukrainian Golden Ale Showcase
Denbigh Castle, 10 Hackins Hey, Liverpool L2 2AW
Friday 5th May, from 7pm
Join us at The Denbigh Castle pub in Liverpool as we are joined by a very special guest, Ukrainian beer expert and member of the British Guild of Beer Writers, Lana Svitankova.
“I am thrilled to introduce the UK and international audience to a new-fleged local style and even more excited by a merger of the old and new tradition, Ukrainian Golden Ale being served on cask. The story of new wave of beer in Ukraine, peculiar Ukrainian flavors and disciptors, trends, unlikely specialties, all of it in the chat over beers. Looking forward to seeing everyone!” – Lana
Your £20 ticket gets you a tasting of 6 different Neptune beers, guided by founders Julie and Les, and a special taste comparison of Neptune’s #BeerTogether Ukrainian Golden Ale on both cask and keg. Hear Lana talk through the history of the beer scene in Ukraine and the story of how this unique style has gained recognition on the international beer stage.
The Rambling Beer Co’s #BeerTogether project aims to promote and celebrate both the local Liverpool independent brewing scene and that of Ukraine. It sees 8 Liverpool breweries collaborating with 8 Ukrainian breweries to produce a set of 8 unique beers.
Neptune Brewery is brewing the flagship beer of the project, a Ukrainian Golden Ale with Kyiv’s Beermaster Brewery.
A style completely unique to Ukraine, expect caramel and honey malt flavours, with soft fruits and light spicy notes.
There’ll also be a fundraising raffle for DEC Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund with some fantastic beery prizes! The perfect way to enjoy the Eurovision Festival.
Booking is essential so to get your tickets, ask at the bar or email the Denbigh Castle: info@thedenbighcastle.co.uk
