Black Is Beautiful makes its debut tap pouring in London’s iconic Brixton Market
Last month Harlem Brewery announced a groundbreaking partnership with supercute brewery, the newly opened Brixton-based community favourite. This transatlantic collaboration brought the iconic taste of Harlem to the UK, with a dedicated Harlem Brewing taproom at 5 Market Row, Brixton Village.
Now Celeste Beatty, the first African American woman brewer to launch a commercially distributed craft beer, is thrilled to bring Black Is Beautiful Vol. 2 to the Harlem Brewing Taproom from Thursday August 15th. One of the most significant social initiatives ever launched in the alcohol industry, the original Black Is Beautiful beer campaign was set up by Marcus Baskervilke, Brewer and Founder of Weathered Souls. He created Volume 2 to support the National Black Brewers Association’s (NB2A) work in developing and growing Black brewers globally. Every brewery participating, now including Harlem Brewing Taproom, will pledge to donate $1 per beer sold to the NB2A. www.blackisbeautiful.beer

The new Harlem Brewing Taproom, a partnership with Supercute Brewery, designed in collaboration with renowned Harlem artists and Brixton architects Squire & Partners, will evoke the energy and rich history of Harlem. The space features a bold colour palette inspired by Harlem’s iconic landmarks, street art, and murals with a curated selection of music that celebrates the neighbourhood’s musical legacy creating a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere where guests can truly experience the soul of Harlem in Brixton.
