Bring on the summertime as sustainable Southwold brewery, Adnams, launches a brand-new zesty Blood Orange Session IPA (4.4% ABV). Available in Adnams’ pubs from 10th May, this refreshing IPA will also be available at Adnams.co.uk from 17th May.
The juicy Session IPA is bursting with citrus aromas and big, bold blood orange and grapefruit flavours which bring both sweetness and a lightly tart finish to the beer. The tropical flavours were chosen to complement the citrus characteristics of the hops used, including Mosaic and Chinook.
Head Brewer, Fergus Fitzgerald explains: “We’ve used blood orange and grapefruit juice to build on the citrus notes found in the hops and enhance their fruity characteristics. We’ve kept things light, with pale ale malt, and chose Mosaic and Chinook hops for their complexity, as well as their tropical fruit flavours, hints of pine and those citrus notes. Adding juice helps balance the bitterness and creates real depth of flavour, making it really approachable, refreshing, and moreish.”
Adnams Blood Orange Session IPA (4.4% ABV) is priced at £22.99/12 x 330ml can and available from Adnams.co.ukfrom Monday 17th May.
