Bedlam Brewery has confirmed the appointment of Bob Emms as its new Chief Executive Officer, taking up the role on January 6th.
Bob has a wealth of experience, having been in the industry for nearly 30 years at mainly Scottish & Newcastle and, more recently, Meantime Brewing Company.
“I’ve watched Bedlam grow from its very beginnings at Albourne,” says Bob, “I’ve seen it evolve and recently move to the new facility at Ditchling Common, where there’s a great team making some fantastic beers. I’m really excited about the future, working with that team and driving the business forward.”
2018 saw Bedlam continue to grow, with sales having increased by over 65% and move to its new home just north of Brighton, in Sussex. Their exciting new brew house, partially powered by solar energy produced from the farm location, will allow Bedlam to produce over five times the volume as previously brewed and Bob will be leading Bedlam through this continued development and implementation of their fabulous new brewery site.
Bedlam Brewery was launched in early 2015 and in a short period of time the highly motivated team have established their range of consistently high quality award-winning beers within the vibrant craft beer scene throughout Sussex, London and beyond. Bedlam feels passionately about the environment and local community and has implemented such initiatives as recycling the spent grains to feed the cattle on the home farm and of course harnessing the solar produced on their roof, to create the electric power used within the brewery.
