Brakspear acquires Henley Brew House

Henley brewer and pub operator Brakspear has bought the Henley Brew House from City Pub Company.

The pub joins Brakspear’s estate of 10 pubs in Henley town centre. Brakspear is currently recruiting a tenant, who will run the pub once the sale is completed in November.

Brakspear chief executive Tom Davies said, “We’re pleased to add the Brew House to our stable of successful pubs in our Henley heartland. With the right tenant at the helm, we’re confident the pub will trade well and attract customers into Henley.”

Brakspear expects the new tenant to retain the current staff team, with the possibility of more being recruited, depending on trading levels.

The brewery within the Brew House will be removed to create more space for drinkers and diners, though the pub will retain its focus on quality local beer by selling beers brewed round the corner at the Bell Street brewery, including the popular Brakspear Special.
