Breweries celebrate the re-opening of pubs with a free round

Breww, the brewery software company, is offering to buy the first round of beers for all of its customers when indoor hospitality re-opens on 17th May 2021

The last 12 months have been tough for the hospitality industry. 3 lockdowns, curfews, bubbles, rule of 6 and scotch eggs… it’s been a challenge.

Breweries have been significantly impacted, juggling production lead times with unpredictable demand, with limited notice from Government on when their customers can re-open. The BBPA forecast that beer sales in pubs plunged 56% in 2020.

Whilst support from the Chancellor with grants, the job retention scheme and reduced VAT has helped many in the sector to survive, COVID has also forced breweries to look for ways to be more efficient and save cost, and many breweries have turned to Breww to manage the operation of their brewery.

The Government announcement that indoor hospitality venues in England, Wales and Scotland can re-open on the 17th May marks a major milestone for the recovery of the brewery industry, with UK consumers expected to flock to pubs, restaurants and hotels.

To celebrate this milestone, Breww have launched a new campaign called ‘First Round on Breww’.

The brewery software company is offering all its customers the opportunity to organise a staff social during the week of the 17th May, and Breww will pick up the tab for the first round of drinks.

So far over 50% of Breww’s customers have signed-up, including The Five Points Brewing Co, Wild Card Brewery, Two Tribes, Goffs Brewery and Firebrand Brewing.

Max Andrew, co-founder of Breww, commented; “We recognise the importance of the pubs re-opening on the 17th May to our customers. In the last 12 months over 100 breweries have signed-up to Breww to manage their recipes, production, sales and deliveries, and we thought it a perfect opportunity to say thank you.”

To take part, customers of Breww will need to signup via the website breww.com
