After a decade-long newspaper career, he moved into the craft beer world in 2010 at Santa Fe Brewing Company, subsequently moving between brewing and distilling and earning medals from the Great American Beer Festival®, World Beer Cup®, the American Distilling Institute, and the American Craft Spirits Association. Today, he oversees operations at The Family Jones production distillery in Denver.
