Bundobust launch Patel’s Off Licence: Craft Beer Delivered, Buy more, get more

Highly-acclaimed, award-winning Indian street food & craft beer specialist Bundobust launched an online beer bottle shop last week.

Patel’s Off Licence, named after Co-Founder Mayur’s surname, launched as a trial on last Bank Holiday weekend with the purpose to sell Bundobust’s existing stock and to generate some income while the restaurants are closed. The majority of beers sold out within two hours, which prompted Mayur & business partner Marko Husak to quickly re-stock with fresh beers. Now the pair plan to keep Patel’s Off Licence online permanently.

The Beer selection will change regularly with new beers landing on the shop twice a week. Patel’s features beers from breweries familiar with Bundobust customers such as Northern Monk, Cloudwater, Marble, Kirkstall, North. Plenty of easy-going pale ales and lagers are available, as well as some experimental beers. Bundobust are currently brewing up some limited edition collaboration beers that will be available soon. If that wasn’t enough, Bundobust is offering rewards to customers. Spend £40 earns you a free pint of Bombay Dazzler, spend £50 gets you a free Dhal & Rice, and spend £60 gets for a free Lunch Express, all redeemable once Bundobust can open again for sit down customers.

Shipping is to all the UK and will be shipped via DPD or Royal Mail.

Co-Founder of Bundobust, Marko Husak:

“We have been selling takeout beer at Bundobust as Patel’s Off License for the last couple of years. But seeing as the customers can’t come to us, we thought we’d go to them. We thought the bottle shop would be a good way to sell existing stock generate a bit of income, and most importantly to connect to our customer base.

e were so overwhelmed by the demand from our trial day last week, with most beers selling out within hours, that we needed to restock quickly. We now plan to keep Patels Off Licence going permanently.

We’re throwing in some little extras as a thank-you for your support. Spend £40 to get a free pint of Bombay Dazzler, £50 for a free Dahl & Rice, and £60 for a free Lunch Express – all redeemable when we’re-open.”

About Bundobust

Bundobust was initially set up as a collaboration between two guys behind Prashad, and Sparrow Bier Cafe, in Bradford – Mayur Patel and Marko Husak. They launched their first bricks-and-mortar Bundobust site on Leeds’ Mill Hill in 2014.

They have since received critical acclaim. They opened a second site on Manchester’s Piccadilly, a third site on Liverpool’s Bold Street Site and the second site in Manchester (Oxford Street) is due soon along with the brand new Bundobust Brew Co.

Bundobust has regularly collaborated with world-renowned brewers, and their house beer, a cardamom-infused Witbier called Bombay Dazzler, has been brewed in collaboration with award-winning Leeds brewers Northern Monk. Their menu, lauded by critics such as Jay Rayner, consists of traditional Indian street foods with an emphasis on their Gujarati heritage. All food is vegetarian, with many vegan options available too.
