20% of the sale price will be going to gender equality charity the Fawcett Society.
London, September 2022: Continuing its mission to champion women in football. Camden Town Brewery has launched a new limited-edition Arsenal Women’s Jack Glass with 20% of the sale price being donated to gender equality charity the Fawcett Society.
The Official Beer Sponsor of Arsenal FC, Camden has created a limited number of the new Jack glasses inspired by the Arsenal Women’s team, in collaboration with its seasonal illustrator, Martyna Makes, and launched alongside professional footballer Beth Mead.
Martyna has given her own unique take on Camden’s much-loved pint glasses, which are designed to celebrate women in football and help raise funds for the Fawcett Society to continue their efforts towards gender equality. With several Arsenal-themed elements to the design, the glass heroes the female Gunners in a fresh take on the classic design.
A limited batch of just 2,000 glasses have been designed, and will be available to purchase from Wednesday 28th September from the Camden website as single glasses or in a Camden Arsenal bundle which includes two glasses and 12 of the brand’s Arsenal Alu bottles of Hells Lager.
Holly Gibson, Head of Brand Activations & Experiences at Camden Town Brewery, said: “We are so excited to launch our new Arsenal Jack glass and shine a light on the Arsenal Women’s team a long side our long term Arsenal partnership. It has been fantastic to work on this launch with Beth, Martyna and the Fawcett Society, bringing together strong females in their respective fields as we continue to grow Camden’s activity to support women’s football.”
Beth Mead, Golden Boot Winner, said: “The Camden team have been so supportive, particularly over the past few months, and I’m thrilled to be working with them on some of their upcoming activity. I’m a fan of the beer and having my own name on a can for Goalden Mead was pretty surreal for sure. It’s great to see Camden supporting women’s football and we’ve got a couple of exciting projects in store so be sure to stay tuned!”
Jemima Olchawski, CEO at Fawcett Society, said: “We’re really grateful to Camden Town Brewery for supporting Fawcett’s work to improve gender equality and our campaigning for women’s rights at work, at home and in public life. Our vision is a society in which women and girls in all their diversity are equal and truly free to fulfil their potential creating a stronger, happier, better future for us all.”
Announcing its official partnership with Beth Mead earlier this month, Camden also showed its support for the Lionnesses during the Euros by launching Goalden Mead Honey Wheat Ale, with all proceeds going to player of the tournament Beth Mead’s chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.
The new Arsenal women’s Jack glass follows a strong history of previous activities from Camden Town Brewery supporting women in football. In 2020, Camden created the world’s first all women’s football table, with consumers making donations to play a game, and for International Women’s Day in 2019, Camden created a bespoke football shirt for Camden FC. Proceeds from both activities were matched by the brand and went to charity the Fawcett Society to support their move towards gender equality across all industries.
And last weekend, to get the nation behind Arsenal, and the women’s game, Camden purchased hundreds of tickets to the North London Derby, giving them away to fans so they could attend the record-breaking game and fill its very own ‘Camden Corner’ at the Emirates.
The limited-edition Arsenal Women’s Jack glass will be available from the Camden web shop from 28th September for £8 each and £40 for 2 glasses and 12 Arsenal Alu bottles of Hells.
