Camden Town Brewery introduces new Lager Top to its core range just in time for summer sipping

Camden Lager Top will be available exclusively in Morrisons stores from 1st April

London, 1st April 2024: Camden Town Brewery has announced the introduction of its new Camden Lager Top to its core collection of fresh beers, which will retail exclusively in Morrisons stores from 1st April.

A light, citrusy and refreshing lemon lager, Lager Top will be joining Camden’s core range just in time for the summer months. This lighter lager is full of zesty freshness and has a lower ABV of 3.4%.

Originally launched as a limited-edition beer as part of Camden’s small batch innovation series, Arch 55, Camden Lager Top is now being introduced to its core collection, alongside fan favourites: Hells, Pale Ale, IPA, Eazy IPA and Stout.

This thirst-quenching summertime sipper is brewed with pilsner, wheat and carapils malts, perle and saphir hops and Bavarian lager yeast for a fresh and slightly sweeter lager, topped off with the added zest of lemon puree.

Mark Wingfield Digby, Off-Trade Director at Budweiser Brewing Group, said: “We are really excited to continue to grow the Camden Family with our latest Camden Innovation, Camden Lager Top and we couldn’t be happier to be partnering with Morrisons on this launch. We are always looking to develop fresh new beers to help grow the craft category and Camden Lager Top will do exactly this. Launching in time for summer, this refreshing Lemon Lager innovation offers an inclusive, lower-ABV alternative to our best seller, Camden Hells.”

John Morris, Morrisons said: “Morrisons are incredibly pleased to be able to partner with Budweiser Brewing Group to bring their new Camden innovation, Camden Lager Top to life exclusively in Morrisons. This provides a great opportunity to continue to grow the craft category and tap into the latest consumer trends. The plans we have built with Budweiser Brewing Group look fantastic and we can’t wait for this to go live in store to surprise and delight our customers.”

Lager Top is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and is available on the Camden Webshop and in Morrison’s stores from 2nd April in 4x330ml cans for £3.99 and 12x330ml for £9.99

About Camden Town Brewery

Camden Town Brewery is a leading brewery based in North London and the home of Hells Lager. Founded by Jasper Cuppaidge, the team began brewing under the railway arches in Camden in 2010 and opened a second brewery in Enfield in July 2017.

Camden Town Brewery’s core range consists of five beers including its award-winning Hells Lager. These beers are available in all major supermarkets as well as around 3,000 pubs, bars and independent retailers.

Alongside the core range, Camden Town Brewery releases small batch innovation beers under its ‘Arch 55’ series. This range allows Camden’s brewing team to try out new ideas, ingredients, techniques, and recipes which are available on the Camden webshop in limited-edition batches.

Camden also launches annual summer and winter seasonals, which have previously included Chilly, Cold IPA, Ice Cream Lager and Pina. These limited-edition beers continue to showcase the brewing team’s fresh innovation, bringing bold and innovative new flavours to the UK ahead of summer and winter each year.
