CAMDEN TOWN BREWERY LAUNCHES ITS ANNUAL END OF YEAR BEER: BEER 2021

With the year coming to an end, the brewers at Camden Town Brewery have been busy developing a brand-new recipe to commemorate 2021. A tradition the brewery has done for the last 8 years, Camden is excited to announce the launch of its limited-edition Beer 2021 – the perfect drink to see out the year in style.

Every year, Camden pushes the boundaries of what a lager can be, experimenting with various flavours and brewing styles for its annual beer release. The end of year beer has become a momentous occasion for Camden and its lager lovers, experimenting with new flavours and brewing styles until the perfect combination is found. For the past five years, Camden has released an Imperial Pilsner style beer that’s barrel-aged for ultimate flavour, and this year, it’s back with a new twist.

An Imperial Pilsner brewed with fruity hops, Beer 2021 has been aged in a combination of Sauternes wine and brandy barrels for a truly unique taste. These distinctive barrels have been chosen as they are renowned for producing rich apricot and almond flavours, giving the never pasteurised beer sweetness and depth.

Pair it with cheese, the stronger the better, for a balance of unique flavours, or think of the beer as a dessert wine – an after-dinner treat that with rich, complex flavours that cut through food with a clean and crisp finish, cleansing the palate.

Beer 2021 is available to buy in 500ml bottles with an ABV of 10% – perfect for popping open to enjoy with friends. Available to buy from Waitrose nationwide and the Camden web shop for £8.50.

About Camden Town Brewery

Camden Town Brewery is a leading brewery based in North London and the home of Hells Lager. Founded by Jasper Cuppaidge, the team began brewing under the railway arches in Camden in 2010 and opened a second bigger brewery in Enfield in July 2017.

Camden Town Brewery’s core range consists of five beers including its award-winning Hells Lager. These beers are available in all major supermarkets as well as around 3,000 pubs, bars and independent retailers.

Alongside the core range, Camden Town Brewery releases several limited-edition Seasonal Hells lagers each year and smaller batch innovations and collaboration beers under its ‘Arch 55’ series.

In June 2021, Camden opened its doors to a brand-new food and drink venue, the Camden Beer Hall. Teaming up fresh beer with fresh food, the Beer Hall boasts 24 taps on the bar, while the menu has been designed by British chef, Theo Randall. Fusing Italian dishes with traditional Bavarian beer hall cuisine, all dishes have been carefully designed to pair perfectly with Camden’s beer range.
