CAMRA Bristol Beer Festival This Week / Press Invite

The twenty-fourth CAMRA Bristol Beer Festival starts on Thursday 16 November and runs over six public sessions until Sunday 19 November 2023. Three sessions have sold out but there are still some tickets available for the other three. It would be great if you can give this a mention please as we have ordered lots of beer!

The Bristol Beer Festival takes place at City Hall, College Green, Bristol. There will be a carefully chosen selection of beers, ciders and perries on sale over the course of the festival. Available to view online are the Beer Order and Cider Order. Organised by volunteer members of CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) this is the premier real ale, cider and perry focused event in our area.

In addition to the six public sessions there is a Trade/Media session which takes place on the afternoon of Thursday 16 November between 1pm and 4pm. Journalists are invited to attend to take a look at the festival and chat to representatives of CAMRA and people that own and work for local pubs and breweries. Please confirm your attendance by emailing richard@camrabristol.org.uk and/or calling Richard Brooks on 07977918172 (number not for publication).

Bristol & District CAMRA Branch Chairman Richard Brooks said:

“Fans of real ale, cider and perry are in for a treat this week at the CAMRA Bristol Beer Festival. We had a great time here at City Hall for the 2022 festival and it is exciting to be back at College Green. People do ask why we aren’t holding the festival at Temple Meads these days and the simple answer is that Brunel’s Old Station (aka The Passenger Shed) is not currently available for hire.

Regardless of location the Bristol Beer Festival always has a fun and friendly atmosphere and key to the success of the event is that it is organised and run by unpaid CAMRA volunteers, who take part because they are beer and cider enthusiasts that want the event to be a great success for everyone that attends. Our volunteer staff actually want to talk to you and care about finding you something that you will enjoy – whether you are sampling new things or revisiting an old favourite.
