Carling is marking the return of domestic football with a new in-outlet activation giving consumers the chance to win a host of exclusive prizes.
The number one lager brand in Great Britain[1] has created point-of-sale materials for operators to display in their outlets, including posters, bar stand-ups and tent cards, with QR codes for pub-goers to scan.
Running from 15th September until 27th October, the QR codes will take consumers to the ‘Score with Carling’ app, where they can play a penalty shootout game.
There are 10,000 prizes up for grabs for players who can score a goal and save a penalty, including match tickets, stadium tours, special edition Umbro x Carling football jerseys, player videos and a host of Carling merchandise.
Lee Willett, Carling Brand Director at Molson Coors Beverage Company, said: “Football fixtures present such an important opportunity for pubs and bars to drive sales, and creating a sense of occasion around big games is key to making the most of it. ‘Score with Carling’ will help our customers to engage drinkers and bring even more excitement on match days.
“Carling has a long-standing association with English football, from grassroots level all the way to the top level of the game, and is the biggest lager brand in Great Britain[2], so it’s perfectly placed to help venues drive more sales throughout the football season.”
