Cask Marque is delighted to announce that Bob Chard, former National Sales Manager at St Austell Brewery, is joining the Cask Marque Account Management team with a focus on brewer and retail engagement.
He will be working alongside current Key Account Manager, Sophie Braybrooke, over the next few months to establish working relationships with Corporate Members and ensure a smooth transition to this important role.
Sophie as well as looking after Corporate Members in the South of England, is the Chief Executive of Cask Marque’s sister company, Stay in a Pub Ltd. Recent investment in this online platform for pubs with accommodation and the industry shift towards a focus on this important third revenue stream, will require Sophie to spend more time directing Stay in a Pub on the next stage of its development.
Bob is known to many as he been in the industry for over 40 years in a variety of roles for companies such as H.P Bulmer, Courage, Scottish and Newcastle and Heineken. Recently Bob left St Austell Brewery where he had been since 2009

Cask Marque was formed back in 1998 as a non for-profit organisation to promote beer quality.
It has 10000 pubs with either the Cask Marque, Beer Marque or 5* cellar award. There are 60 assessors who are brewers or senior technical services personal making over 20000 visits to pubs every year.
Cask Marque are a major training in cellar management and the lead educator for the Bii ABCQ qualification.
