CHARITY BEER FESTIVAL CRAFT BEER CARES RETURNS TO LONDON THIS SEPTEMBER

Following a sell-out event in 2017, charity beer festival Craft Beer Cares returns to London on the 29th and 30th of September 2018. The event will take place at the Hackney-based London Fields Brewery, and will feature beer from over 20 breweries including Beavertown, Cloudwater and San Diego’s Modern Times. Proceeds from the event will be donated to London-based anti violence charity Art Against Knives.

Tickets available here: https://craftbeercares.eventbrite.co.uk/

Craft Beer Cares will run sessions from 11am – 5pm and 6pm – 12am on Saturday 29th, and 12pm – 6pm on Sunday 30th. Tickets for each session are priced at £12.50 per person and includes a Craft Beer Cares branded glass and eight beer tokens, which can be used to purchase up to four servings of beer by the half pint (beers will be priced according to ABV, with stronger beers costing more tokens.) Additional tokens will be available for purchase within the festival itself.

“We have the fortune to be able to build on our first event with a bigger venue, more beer, and more sessions, to be more accessible and hopefully raise even more money for charity this year,” Craft Beer Cares founder Gautam Bhatnagar said. “We couldn’t do it without the kindness and donations of the Breweries involved, the volunteers and the logistical help of many distributors in the industry.”

Last year the event raised over £6000 for both mental health charity Mind, as well as The Newman Trust, which provides holidays for children with special needs. A growing concern over the rise of knife crime within London spurred the festival organisers towards supporting Art Against Knives with this years event.

“The generous support from Craft Beer Cares is huge for Art Against Knives,” The charity’s director Katy Dawe said. “It’s always been our ambition to ensure we support young people long-term, the money raised is essential in making this happen – ensuring our creative community spaces and specialist support are sustained all year round.”

The breweries kindly providing beer for this years Craft Beer Cares 2018 includes: Beavertown, Brew By Numbers, Brooklyn, Canopy, Cloudwater, Dry and Bitter, Fourpure, Gipsy Hill

Kernel, London Fields, Magic Rock, Modern Times, Northern Monk, NZ Beer Collective, Partizan, Siren, Thornbridge, Weird Beard, Wylam & Yeastie Boys, with more to be confirmed.
