Charles Wells secures fourth site for Pizza, Pots and Pints

Pizza, Pots & Pints, the award-winning pub concept based around artisan pizzas, warm terracotta pots and delicious beer, is set to open its fourth site in just over two years.

The Radcliffe Arms in Hitchin will receive a six-figure investment as it’s converted into the fourth venue in the collection, signalling the commitment by owners Charles Wells to expand the number of Pizza, Pots and Pints pubs across the region. Director, Craig Mayes, says the level of research to identify future venues shows Hitchin as a perfect fit for the next destination for Pizza, Pots and Pints: “All Pizza, Pots and Pints locations are chosen based on extensive research to identify exactly where they will fit the best. We then know that there’s a market who will enjoy what we do and will love the interesting venue we create on their doorstep filled with delicious pizza, pots and pints!”

While the Radcliffe Arms will be the fourth Pizza, Pots and Pints to open in little over two years, the collection is set to go from strength to strength, with Charles Wells looking for more locations, as Craig Mayes explains: “While we’re out and about seeking new venues ourselves, we’re also keen to speak with current pub owners about opportunities for leasing their sites, or even purchasing their property. If they think their location could be a good fit for Pizza, Pots and Pints, all they need to do is give me a call to get the conversation started.”

If you’re interested in selling your pub, or offering a leasehold to the Pizza, Pots and Pints collective, contact Craig Mayes on 07802 499 869.

And as Craig adds, passion is exactly what’s made Pizza, Pots and Pints the rapidly expanding success it has become: “Everything we do is born from a passion over the sort of food and drink you’d want to share with your mates. Our freshly made wood-fired artisan pizzas and warming terracotta pots of comfort food, served alongside pints of fresh Bedfordshire-brewed beer, really hit the spot especially when combined with the fun, relaxed and quirky atmosphere at every Pizza, Pots and Pints venue.

“Our Opening Manager, Sam Adams, and Executive Chef, Craig Billington, establish the essence of each new Pizza, Pots and Pints, making sure that everything we do is a matched to its local community, while retaining the key ingredients of the brand. We host events and menu deals designed to suit our guests, whether that’s 2-4-1 Mondays, Fat Tuesdays or Live Music on a Friday, there will always be something happening at a Pizza, Pots and Pints that our guests can join in with.”

Pizza, Pots & Pints currently run the Salisbury Arms in Cambridge, which was voted Cambridge’s Best Pub, and the Old White Horse, Baldock. The team are also busy gearing up for their third venue opening in Peterborough in August, with Hitchin’s Radcliffe Arms due to open in October.
