Chester Pub Company Partners with Claire House

Admiral Taverns, the UK’s leading community pub company with more than 1,400 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales, has chosen Claire House Children’s Hospice as its 2025 charity partner, launching its fundraising efforts with a 21.6km charity walk.

Claire House helps seriously and terminally ill children to live life to the full by creating unforgettable experiences for the patients and their families. By providing specialist nursing, emotional support and end of life care, Claire House helps families through some of the most challenging times.

Throughout the year, Admiral hopes to raise as much as possible for Claire House through a range of fundraising events, from head office initiatives to pub fun days.

To kick-off its fundraising activities, Admiral employees, family and friends will embark on a 21.6km walk on 17th May 2025. Starting at Delamere Station, the route will finish at the Little Oak in Chester – part of Admiral’s award-winning community wet-led operator division, Proper Pubs -with a celebratory BBQ.

Chris Jowsey, CEO of Admiral Taverns, said: “Claire House is such a fantastic charity which truly goes above and beyond to help children and their families get through some of the toughest moments in their lives. It’s been eye opening to learn more about the incredible work the team do, and we are delighted to have committed to a two-year partnership.

Our first major fundraising milestone will be our charity walk, where we will be encouraging all our employees and their four-legged friends to join in the fun. Whether it’s walking, volunteering or simply cheering us on, I’d encourage anyone locally to attend for what will be an inspiring day, contributing to an amazing charity.”

Lewis Croft, Corporate Fundraiser at Claire House Children Hospice, commented: “We are really proud that Claire House Children’s Hospice has been chosen by employees at Admiral Taverns to be their charity partner for 2025. We are really excited to be working alongside a community focused business like Admiral Taverns and are looking forward to getting involved with many of their challenges and initiatives throughout the year.

We want to thank everyone at Admiral Taverns for all their support to Claire House Children’s Hospice, it really does mean so much to us all and it makes such a positive difference to the lives of our children and families.”
