Chill out with Wold Gold for BBQ week

The UK’s Annual Celebration of Better Barbecuing, National BBQ Week, is upon us and heralds the start of a summer long celebration of alfresco eating, entertaining and barbecues to accompany the Diamond Jubilee, Euro 2012 and the Olympic Games.

For Yorkshire Coast micro-brewery Wold Top Brewery, bank holidays and BBQ’s are synonymous with a significant increase in sales of its award-winning real ales.

Tom Mellor from Wold Top Brewery explains “You can’t beat a traditional, refreshing real ale when you’re cooking and eating outdoors. Our best seller throughout the summer months is Wold Gold, an award winning golden beer that chills down well and is enjoyed by men and women alike.”

Wold Gold is brewed where the Yorkshire Wolds meet the East Coast from traditional recipes using the best hops and home and Wolds grown malting barley coupled with the purest, chalk-filtered water. It’s a satisfying, easy drinking beer with an ABV of 4.8% and has a soft, fruity flavour with a hint of spice.

Wold Gold is one of a range of seasonal and all year round ales that are inspired by places and events in East and North Yorkshire and are available from the website at www.woldtopbrewery.co.uk or by calling 01723 892222 for mail order.
