Craftwerk Beers looks for speakers

Craftwerk Beers, the  Southend specialist beer bar opened recently by Guild member Stephen Reynolds, is about to launch a series of monthly ‘bottle share’ nights on the first Thursday of every month – and hoping to include talks by fellow members within the evening.

The first bottle share is being held on 4th April.  Stephen says, “We’re very open to suggestions on the speaker slot – it could be used to launch a new book or talk about beer, brewing or pub history or a  related subject that’s hot at the moment.  It’s really a blank page and we’re of course happy to pay speakers for their time – we expect it to be a 20 minute talk followed by questions.”  Interested members should contact Stephen direct on

Craftwerk Beers has 12 rotating taps, over 50 bottles and cans and an ever increasing cellar list of rare and special beers. It has no TVs and no loud music, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is proving popular with the guests, who range in age from 20s to 50s.
