After a sell-out event in November 2017, Craftwork – craft beer’s business-growth community – has confirmed its headline speakers for the first event of the year.
Craftwork Live is back with a new line-up of speakers who will be discussing the dos and don’ts of crowdfunding and investment routes for craft beer businesses.
Launched in 2017, Craftwork Live is a spinoff from the Craftwork Growth Club community for craft beer businesses, and the equally popular podcast, which featured chats with many of the UK’s most inspirational people in the industry last year.
“Our first event attracted a great crowd from London’s vibrant beer scene and the feedback was brilliant, which is why we’ve been keen to maintain momentum with Craftwork Live,” explained Matthew Hall, MD of Hallway – the digital agency behind Craftwork.
The eagerly awaited Craftwork Live evening event is taking place on the 12th February at The Trampery in Old Street, London, having been upgraded to a bigger space with seating at the venue following the popularity of November’s evening.
James Yeomans, owner of Hop Stuff Brewery, joins Andrew Morgan of the Bottle Shop and Sam McMeekin from Gipsy Hill as the headline speakers at the event.
The theme of the evening will be ‘crowdfunding’, with each speaker sharing their experiences, challenges and advice on how to secure finance and investment to fund growth. With many in the craft beer industry considering expansion in 2018, it looks to be a popular topic to kick off the year. The Bottle Shop completed a successful funding campaign to create a fully refrigerated supply chain last year, as did Gipsy Hill Brewery for its Community Tap Room whilst Hop Stuff Brewery has just achieved its target to expand its Tap Room network.
“We’re excited about this event,” added Matthew. “Our speakers are inspirational with major successes under their belts. There’s no doubt everyone attending will get a great deal out of the discussions. And, of course, we’ve got great beer to go with it so we’re expecting it to be another fun night.”
