Guild members are invited to attend an exclusive darts event at The Minories near Tower Hill, next Tuesday, 12 December, from 9.45 to 11.30 am. The event, two days before the PDC World Championships kick off in London – and a month before the BDO concludes in Frimley Green, is being organised to boost awareness of prostate cancer.
We’ll have three darting legends with five world championships between them, Dennis ‘The Menace’ Priestley, Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams and Bobby George, to discuss the imminent PDC and BDO tournaments, the latter in which Martin will be aiming for a fourth world title.
Both Dennis and Martin are men affected by prostate cancer, and both will speak about their experiences while twice World Championship runner-up Bobby will explain why he has signed up to the charity’s Men United Arms campaign.
Dennis, the only man to win the BDO and PDC world titles at the first attempt, will also be able to chat about his storied rivalry with Phil Taylor, ahead of The Power’s final tournament at Alexandra Palace.
This should offer an exciting opportunity to chat about the tournaments, the darting landscape and the work of Prostate Cancer UK in pubs
