Last week, Deptford’s Little Faith taproom launched a “Keep the Faith” initiative to raise funds to keep Little Faith in business. Their online shop went live and they are discounted pre-orders of Little Faith beers for collection and asking individuals to pledge their support by becoming a Little Angel, which gives them lifetime benefits at the bar.
After one day of the campaign, they had raised enough money to fund the purchase of a crowler machine. A crowler is a can of draft beer that you can take home, keeping draught beer fresher for longer. Beers will be sold in crowlers and ready for collection in early July.
They are offering three beers for pre-order:
New Colours (4.5%) – a brand new version of our summer pale ale (500ml fills)
The Americano Dream (5.0%) – our classic coffee oatmeal stout (500ml fills)
Raisin’ a Glass (10.8%) – a decadent imperial stout with molasses, raisins and Madagascan vanilla pods brewed with Brick Brewery and Florida’s Escaping Brewing (330ml fills)
Mixed packs are available to pre-order as well.
With the funds generated from the sales of pre-ordered crowlers and Little Angel memberships, the bar will be able to start brewing new beers again and improve the outside bar to make it a more hospitable area when the bar is allowed to re-open.
Regulars can support Little Faith by becoming a Little Angel, which has three different levels (Bronze Halo, Silver Halo and Gold Halo). All Angels will enjoy a range of exciting benefits, from a welcome mixed crowler pack and tote bag, discount on food and drinks at the bar for life, t-shirts, invitation to an exclusive event and even a lifetime’s monthly crowler subscription. See the benefits for each level here.
Alex Woods, Little Faith co-founder, says:
‘We received so many messages of support from our amazing customers when we closed, and the response we’ve had to the Keep the Faith campaign has been a massive boost for everyone at Little Faith! It is really humbling to see people showing love to small independent businesses like ours and getting behind us in our hour of need – we can’t wait to get started!’
Henry Pecod, Little Faith co-founder, says:
‘We’ve missed you all in recent months but we hope this will give you a taste of Little Faith at home until we can reopen fully. If all goes well we hope to provide a full range of our beers in crowlers as soon we’re back to our normal operation. We can’t thank you enough for giving us a leg up during this difficult time. Looking forward to sharing a beer with you all soon!’

About Little Faith:
Serving up delicious beer in the heart of Deptford (SE8), Little Faith opened at the end of 2018. Before closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they served up 10 lines of their own house beers and other craft beer and cider from industry friends. They also hosted a series of regular events, including a weekly free comedy night, live music and guest pop-up kitchens. They hope to continue serving great beer after lockdown with the support of their customers.
They are an independent business with a community focus.
