Family brewery wins prestigious prizes for its authentic lambic beers

The winners of the Brussels Beer Challenge 2024 were announced today at the Horeca Expo trade fair in Ghent. Lindemans Brewery picked up several prizes, confirming once again its position as a leading producer of authentic lambic beers. The Lindemans Oude Gueuze Cuvée René received the Gold medal in the category Speciality Beer: Old Style Gueuze-Lambic. In addition, Goyck, a blend of Lindemans lambic and Toots beer by Koenraad Goddeau, was awarded Gold in the Speciality Beer: Other Sour Ale category. Lindemans Faro-Lambic, with its newly updated label, took home Silver in the Speciality Beer category.

‘Our unique and authentic lambic beers reflect generations of passion and expertise,’ says Dirk Lindemans. ‘Winning awards, including for the Lindemans Oude Gueuze Cuvée René, confirms our commitment to the lambic tradition.’

Geert Lindemans added: ‘With our beers, we aim to further develop the unique lambic culture and hope to please beer lovers worldwide. These awards underline our commitment to excellence in quality and taste, which appeals to connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.’

The award-winning Lindemans beers are available in Belgium and internationally, and can be purchased at specialty liquor stores, supermarkets, on-trade outlets and via the brewery’s webshop (lindemansshop.com).

The Brussels Beer Challenge, founded in 2012, is now one of the most prestigious beer competitions worldwide. This year, an international panel of renowned beer experts judged nearly 2,000 beers.
