Dutch CRAFT Beer Conference 2018: The Power of Craft

On Tuesday 23 January 2018, CRAFT, the industry association for independent beer brewers in the Netherlands, will be organising the second edition of the Dutch CRAFT Beer Conference at the Rijtuigenloods, Amersfoort. The theme for this edition is “The Power of Craft”. The conference will focus on large and small breweries, which makes it unique in the Netherlands.

Thanks to the more than 30 stall holders, a range of international speakers and various workshops, visitors can expand their knowledge of the world of brewing. You can register for the conference now at Press tickets are available.

Visitors will be guided through a programme full of interesting topics by engaging individuals in the beer world. There will be a plenary session with Bob Pease, CEO of the Brewers Association. Erwin van Moll, CRAFT board member: “With thousands of members, the Brewers Association is CRAFT’s big brother in the country where the Craft Beer Revolution began, the United States. As CRAFT, we are therefore very pleased that Bob Pease was willing to share his vision on the power of craft with us as keynote speaker.”

Workshops and information market

In addition to various plenary sessions, visitors can also attend workshops, such as a session about yeast and fermentation by the well-known White Labs based in Copenhagen. In other workshops, brewers learn more about oxidisation and CO² or find out about the international trends in beer packaging. Steve Grossman, founder of the successful Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, will give a workshop on sustainability and craft beer, in addition to a plenary session. Or attend an interactive session on the development of beer recipes and distribution of beer. The working language will be English and visitors will go home with knowledge that they can apply to their breweries and beers straight away.

Just like last year, dozens of suppliers from the Netherlands and abroad will present their brewing products and services once again at the information market, which will be open all day. Suppliers have interesting offers and will be happy to help visitors with specific questions they may have.

Registration is now open

Until 23 December, you can enjoy the early bird rate. If you are or become a member of CRAFT, you will also receive an additional discount. For more information or to register for the conference now, go to the website

About the Dutch CRAFT Beer Conference

The Dutch CRAFT Beer Conference is growing to become a recurring annual event focused on inspiring and sharing knowledge. Knowledge exchange takes place between brewers as well as between brewers and suppliers who meet at the information market, during lunch or at the final networking drinks. This year, it will also be possible to attend a dinner buffet, which will be held in combination with the networking drinks. The conference is open to members of CRAFT as well as non-members and Dutch and international brewers.

The Dutch CRAFT Beer Conference is organised by CRAFT. CRAFT is the industry association for independent craft brewers in the Netherlands and was established in 2003. Since then, the association has grown to become the biggest partnership of independent beer breweries. CRAFT is currently actively investing in the promotion of craft beer and in its members. Parallel to this, initiatives are being taken to achieve further professionalisation and innovation among members. The organisation of the Dutch CRAFT Beer Conference is a good example of this.
