Championing the best of Bedford, Eagle Brewery has signed a three-year major sponsorship agreement with Bedford Blues after working with the club for almost 25 years as its official drinks’ supplier. Separate from the sponsorship rights agreement, the new contract has enabled Bedford Blues to install brand-new dispensing equipment in the marquee bar, along with Bedford-brewed beers being made available throughout the ground on matchdays, providing Blues fans with local ‘Eagle Fresh’ beer all the time.
Provenance is key for Eagle Brewery who have recently been focussing on ‘Eagle Fresh’, ensuring all local stockists are guaranteed the freshest beer direct from the Brewery. With the new sponsorship officially starting in July, all beer at Goldington Road is guaranteed to be the freshest available taking as little as only three days from Brewery to Glass.
Jim Gill, Regional Manager for Marston’s Beer Company, said: “Eagle IPA is the Iconic Beer of Bedford and with our shared commitment to excellent rugby and hospitality, it was a natural choice to want to continue our partnership with the Blues.
“By investing in improved dispense equipment at Goldington Road and our provision of environmentally friendly Eco Cups Blues Supporters can continue to enjoy their favourite pint on match days with an even better experience. We know Blues Supporters are passionate about their beer as well as their Rugby and we look forward to another successful season on the pitch together.”
Gareth Alred, Chief Operating Officer for Bedford Blues Ltd, said: “We are extremely grateful for the ongoing relationship and support of the Eagle Brewery. They have further boosted a long-term partnership and as two of Bedford’s strongest institutions, we are committed to working together for the benefit of our great town.
“The sponsorship and activation from Eagle Brewery is very significant for the Blues and we look forward to building even greater ties across the next three years. The partnership will hopefully please our supporters with draught prices remaining the same next season and locally brewed beers, like Eagle IPA, staying on the pumps.”
