Matt Biswas of Bateman’s Brewery on hearing of the success of Salem Porter said “We are all incredibly proud of Salem Porter, it’s a classic Batemans beer with fruity, hoppy top notes leading to a satisfying toasty biscuit like finish. When Stuart Bateman was told he was so pleased that Salem Porter won the porter category but to go on and win the East Midlands Champion is an unbelievable achievement. This is an all round success for everyone involved with this great British beer”.
The Champion Beer of Britain competition takes place at The Great British Beer Festival at London’s Olympia, on Tuesday 13th August. The festival runs from 13th – 17th August.
