Embark upon a taste adventure with Shepherd Neame’s new Cask Club Passport

Independent family brewer Shepherd Neame has launched its Cask Club Passport for 2023, offering exclusive rewards to drinkers who enjoy this year’s limited edition Cask Club beers.

First unveiled in 2019 to coincide with the launch of Shepherd Neame’s Cask Club real ale initiative, the scheme invites drinkers to collect seven bespoke crook stamps on their passport – awarded with every new Cask Club beer – to receive an exclusive  t-shirt and be entered into a prize draw for a weekend getaway.

New for 2023, drinkers will be rewarded with a free pint of cask ale on their next visit to a participating pub once three stamps have been collected.

This year’s Cask Club launched last month with Maverick (3.4% ABV). A bright golden ale, Maverick offers sweet malty notes with a sublime combination of floral, citrus and tropical fruit aromas, courtesy of the US Centennial hops, and the three new and experimental UK hops – Ernest, Olicana and Jester.

Future Cask Club ales to look out for over the next few months include Dragonfire (4.5% English Ale), Citra Smack (3.8% ABV Citra Ale), and Session IPA Creekside (3.4% ABV).

Director of Brewing Mike Unsworth said: “We hope that the passport will encourage more drinkers to try our limited edition Cask Club beers as they are released throughout the year, and perhaps then go on to explore other real ales.

“Our aim when launching Cask Club was to offer an exciting new range of innovative cask beers incorporating modern styles and flavours, while also celebrating some seasonal classics.

“Our first brew of the year, Maverick, has already proven very popular, and we have some more fantastic beers in store for the coming months, so we are sure that drinkers will enjoy completing this year’s Cask Club Passport!”

Britain’s oldest brewer is also offering an exclusive 20% discount for CAMRA members across its Cask Club beers when a valid CAMRA card is presented at the bar.
