In a bold collaboration with Mother Nature, Rogue Ales latest Hop Family series of IPAs have hit the UK after landing at Euroboozer HQ this week.
The quirky quartet which will be showcased at Craft Beer Rising celebrates all 8 varietals of hops grown at Rogue Farms with each beer showcasing a unique blend of hops personally selected by Rogue Brewmaster John Maier.
The new range is comprised of 4 Hop IPA, 6 Hop IPA, 7 Hop IPA and 8 Hop IPA. The beers are available in 22 oz serigraphed bottles and are available to the ON and OFF trade.
Rogue grows its own hops on a 42-acre hopyard on the banks of the Willamette River in Independence, Oregon. The 8 varieties include Alluvial, Freedom, Independent, Liberty, Newport, Rebel, Revolution, and Yaquina hops. Each year, Rogue Farms strings, stakes, trains, trims, separates, sorts, kilns, cools and bales the hops it grows before sending them to the Rogue Brewery in Newport, Oregon.
John Maier commented:
“We wanted to offer the wide range of flavours, aromas and bitterness of the 8 varieties of hops we’ve grown at Rogue Farms. It’s the entire Rogue hop experience in four bottles.”
Founder of Euroboozer, Martyn Railton comments:
“We’re delighted to have this new foursome kicking off our NPD in 2016. With the IPA style continuing to see strong interest from consumers, we believe the beers will be big hitters and we’re excited to be unleashing them to the masses at Craft Beer Rising.”
About Rogue Ales & Spirits
Rogue Ales & Spirits is an agri-fermenter founded in Oregon in 1988 as one of America’s first microbreweries. Rogue has won more than 1,700 awards for taste, quality and packaging and is available in all 50 states as well as 50 countries. Since 2008, Rogue has remained committed to saving the terroir of Oregon hops, barley, rye, wheat, honey, jalapeños, and pumpkins one acre at a time by growing its own.
Started from the back of an old VW Vento in 2003, Euroboozer was set up by beer lover Martyn Railton, initially importing Austrian brands Hirter, Stiegl and Schremser. The company soon branched out with a deal to distribute acclaimed US craft brewer Rogue and 12 years on the VW Vento has gone to be replaced with offices and a warehouse in Hertfordshire.
The company delivers direct to London and the South-east and also works with a close network of sub-distributors around the UK. While much has changed since the company was started, Martyn and the company’s passion for finding, building and distributing a unique range of speciality beers where quality is king remains the same.
