EVENT: Meet The Brewer And Guided Tasting With Anspach & Hobday At The Pigeon In Camberwell – The Brains Behind The Brews

Guests will receive a complimentary drink upon arrival, a flight with four 1/3rd measures of award-winning Anspach & Hobday beer, and a special beer to finish the evening.

The event will be hosted by Benjamin Lake, one of Anspach & Hobday’s brewers. Guests will be guided through their tasting flight, given a brief history of beer and a Q+A session at the end.

The event will begin at 6:00pm and take roughly an hour and a half. Guests also receive a 10% discount off takeaway beer and merchandise, and are welcome to stay for drinks afterwards.

The tasting will be seated, with each party having their own table to ensure that we can operate safely and efficiently. Tickets can be purchased through the Eventbrite link here.

The Pigeon came to Camberwell Church Street in October of 2018 and has since become a neighbourhood purveyor of craft-beer, wine and cocktails. The bar has ten-lines of draught beer, an extensive range of bottles and cans, fine wine and takeaway cocktails. The Pigeon is open Tuesday through to Saturday every week.

Anspach & Hobday in particular are known for their diverse range of beers, inspired by traditional styles remade for the 21st century beer drinker, brewing everything from historic ales and porters to experimental sours and IPAs.

Founded in 2013 by childhood friends Paul Anspach & Jack Hobday, A&H are undergoing rapid growth following a successful round of crowdfunding earlier this year. Anspach & Hobday are best known for their flagship beer, The Porter. The brewery epitomises London craft beer brewing traditional styles made for the modern drinker.
