Everards look for new business owners to run The Gate Hangs Well in Syston.

The Gate Hangs Well is an attractive looking pub that sits on the River Wreake on the outskirts of Syston.

If you are experienced in the hospitality industry and looking for your next challenge, then you won’t want to miss this exciting opportunity. The previous business owner ran the pub for over 9 years and the business is in a great place but has huge potential for someone to come in and grow it in many ways.

“We are looking for a friendly character with hospitality experience, preferably bringing some catering knowledge with them as food is the heart of this business” says Business Relationship Manager for Everards, Matt Crehan.

Matt continues “It’s a truly great pub and we know that the right person can really develop this business and help it reach its full potential. The pub gets lots of passing trade and is also well supported by the local community and we think whoever progresses with us and the Gate, will be very happy here. I’d urge anyone interested to give me or one of the team a call and see if we can work together to bring this pub back to where it should be – at the heart of its community”

The pub has a fab beer garden equipped with a play are for children which is very popular with families and locals. The pub has a huge sense of community and is the base for many a sporting team, with many events put on to bring in the local community and bring everyone together which it has been doing successfully for years!

Everards see this as a great opportunity for someone looking to really get involved and be part of a welcoming community. It would suit someone with catering skills behind them to push the food offer and develop areas of the pub including the function room and outside space that have not been utilised to their full potential.

Syston is a great little town, full of independent businesses as well as some high street names and plenty of housing and good schools. It is a great part of Leicestershire, with the beautiful Watermead Country Park on its doorstep which opens up a great space to walkers, ramblers and families to visit, Syston pulls in visitors to the area daily for many recreational reasons.

So, if you are looking to take on a great business that still has lots of room to grow and somewhere you can truly put your stamp on, get in touch with Everards on 0116 201 4260 and have a chat about The Gate Hangs Well or visit to find out more about this opportunity.
