Exmoor Ales Crowd Raise exceeds £350,000 target – now “Overfunding”

Over 300 investors and fans of Exmoor have backed the business in the plan to double sales.

With two days left to invest before closing, the campaign has exceeded the target.

Jonathan Price, Managing Director, said, “I believe it’s not only the heritage and recognition of our traditional brands like Exmoor Gold, Beast, Ale, and Stag but also the interest in our Brew Team’s modern beers that drew in a wide range of investors around the country and further afield.”

It’s been an incredible start to the year for Exmoor.

While it’s usually a slow time for the industry following the Christmas season, Exmoor has been busier than ever.

Since the start of the year:

  • 40,000 pints of limited edition special brown ale, Upside Brown, have been brewed for Wetherspoons Spring Festival and free trade

  • Canned craft beer, Urban Fox 6.2% American Red IPA has been listed in 90 Wetherspoons with an extended rollout on trail

  • Following its December SIBA Gold win, Exmoor Beast has just been awarded Silver in the CAMRA National Winter Beer Festival Strong Ale category

  • Exmoor Pale has been picked up by Molson Coors and Stonegate pub Company

  • M&B has listed Exmoor Gold for early Summer.

These successes are in addition to the regular full brewing schedule.

Add to this exceeding the Crowd Raise campaign, and it’s clear that Exmoor is bucking the post-pandemic downward industry trend.

The investment will boost sales and marketing, helping further strengthen and grow Exmoor’s reputation as a trusted brand nationally.
