Bermondsey-based Fourpure Brewing Co. is the official beer sponsor of the 65th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express. This year’s festival will run from 6th-17th October and, for the first time, will combine both in-person experiences at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall alongside virtual premieres and events. As the official beer supplier to BFI London Film Festival, Fourpure will be available throughout the festival, from opening and closing night, gala parties, receptions and associated networking events.
Michael Birtwistle, UK Brand Manager at Lion Little World Beverages said “The pandemic has caused so much disruption and affected many industries including hospitality and live events. Now that guidelines have been relaxed, we’re over the moon to be able to get back to festivals and events, doing what we do best – supplying people with great tasting craft beer. With things still transitioning back to normal, where possible, we think it’s so important to show our support to other industries that have been hit hard like the hospitality sector, which is why we jumped at the chance for Fourpure to be part of the return of the BFI London Film Festival red carpet events this year. The festival helps to position London as one of the world’s most creative cities. As fellow Londoners we are proud to be partners and will hopefully see some film stars swapping champagne flutes for cans of beer.”
The sponsorship is part of Fourpure’s continued support to the arts and live events industries in and around London, working alongside the campaign which saw them reigniting stand-up comedy across multiple venues in the capital. The Fourpure Presents Comedy initiative and Stand Up For Beer campaign have helped to support venues in the capital and talent such as Zoe Lyons, Priya Hall, Stephen Buchanan, Kuan-Wen Huang and Andy Field.
