Independent Craft Brewery Anspach & Hobday ring in the season with their annual Christmas Carols celebration at The Arch House in Bermondsey

Billed as London’s most novel carol event: Independent South London-based craft brewery Anspach & Hobday are celebrating the festive season by throwing their annual Christmas Carols celebration at their brewery tap room in Bermondsey, complete with their annual Christmas beer being served – The Pfeffernüsse Stout, and the launch of a new, festive-spiced Pale Ale; A Christmas Pale.

The event will be taking place on Friday December 1st from 3pm with songs from 7pm. Patrons will be able to sample the annual Christmas brews along with mince pies, festive cheer and a selection of kegs from deep within the Anspach & Hobday archives.

Anspach & Hobday have held their annual Christmas Carols since the beginning of the brewery in 2014, making this the ninth event held at the brewery. Anspach & Hobday have worked with Matt The List to find the finest voices of our time, and he will be leading the choir and crowd through verse after verse.

The Pfeffernüsse Stout is Anspach & Hobday’s original Christmas beer, and is inspired by the traditional tasty German Christmas ‘peppernut’ biscuit of the same name. Anspach & Hobday’s seasonal special brings together a rich, malty stout with the perfect blend of festive spice. Ginger and cinnamon dominate the nose with biscuity malts and warming spices joining on the palate.

For those who prefer a lighter beer, A Christmas Pale is a delicately spiced festive Pale Ale, with aromas of ginger, spicy orange, and citrusy hops.
