Freedom Brewery, one of the earliest pioneers of British craft lager, has launched ‘Love Thy Neighbour’, an initiative to encourage talking and togetherness in the local community and to share a taste of freedom.
Comments Matt Willson, MD:
“So many people have in the past been taking their neighbours for granted. They know so little about them, or what would interest them or make them smile. Their neighbours become like the wallpaper, always there but never really appreciated. We want to be part of communities coming back together again and neighbours looking out for each other.”
With immediate effect, anyone purchasing from the Freedom Brewery website, will receive – for their chosen neighbour – a free gift pack, containing four 33cl cans of Freedom’s finest lager and a Freedom tote bag. So whether it’s Sue at Number 12 or Jim and Tim at Number 46, here is a New Normal way to spread a bit of neighbourly love – over the garden wall.
Fans of Freedom are invited to share their #lovethyneighbour doorstep drops and socially distanced deliveries with @freedombrewery on Instagram.
“This is a chance to make new mates or rekindle existing friendships,” explains Matt Willson. “We hope that, by sharing our lager at an appropriate distance, it will spread a little bit of fun and happiness – and it reminds us of what being a good neighbour is all about.
“What could be more British than sharing a beer?”
All of Freedom’s beers are naturally carbonated, long matured, unpasteurised and completely vegan certified.
The ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ offer is available from Freedombrewery.com using code ‘LOVETYHYNEIGHBOUR’ during checkout. Any customer who makes an online purchase using the code will receive the free gift pack. There is no charge for mainland UK delivery.

Notes To Editors
Freedom Brewery: Independent. Natural. Sustainable. As the original craft lager specialists, Freedom Brewery has been brewing its special way since 1995, with no gimmicks, and no compromise. Located in Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire, Freedom’s beers use its own spring water, located meters from the brewery. And to make its brewing process more sustainable, it recycles all its wastewater back into the natural waterway using a gravity fed reed bed filtration system.
