Whilst pubs have been closed like all of us we have been focused on re-opening. I have been involved in:
- Taking cellar management training online which takes the form of 5 x 1 hour tutorial on Zoom written and hosted by Annabel Smith.
- Awaiting a report from a social media expert who is advising as to how we can re-engage the 10,000 registered ale trailers on the CaskFinder app to visit pubs. The app has been downloaded 300,000 times and is free both on iPhone and Android.
- Talking to the industry about cellar maintenance during lockdown so pubs don’t have dispense issues when re-opening and a costly technical services bill.
- Promoting pub accommodation using the Stay In A Pub website. Staycation will be very popular in 2021 and will be a lifesaver for many rural pubs.
