Fuller’s spreads festive cheer this Christmas

Hailo taxi drivers to give free Fuller’s ‘Black Cab’ Christmas puddings to passengers

To celebrate the festive season of goodwill, London brewer and pub company Fuller’s has teamed up with Hailo, the black cab app, to give Londoners a little lift by offering free ‘Black Cab’ Christmas puddings to passengers.

The delicious puddings, hand-crafted to a unique recipe which includes a splash of Fuller’s popular seasonal ale Black Cab Stout, are now on the menu at over 150 of Fuller’s finest pubs across London and the South East.

Limited edition, specially-wrapped versions of the puddings will be handed out on a first come, first served basis to London taxi passengers who hail their cab using the Hailo black cab app from Friday, December 14th.

Fuller’s Head Brewer, John Keeling, who created the puddings alongside Head of Food, Paul Dickinson said: “Our Black Cab Stout proved amazingly popular last Christmas so with Paul’s creativity we have come up with a pudding recipe using this delicious beer that I’m sure our customers will love – both those in our pubs and those who are lucky enough get them as presents from our Hailo taxi driver partners.”

Russell Hall, Hailo Co-Founder and black cab driver for over 30 years commented: “We’re very proud that the team at Fuller’s has chosen Hailo black cabbies to act as Secret Santa for these great gifts. Our drivers go the extra mile for Londoners all year, but the opportunity to extend that goodwill to people’s holiday celebrations is really something special. We’re sure these unique puddings will help brighten many dinner tables this year.”

About Fuller’s

Fuller, Smith & Turner P.L.C. is London’s oldest traditional family brewer, operating out of the world-famous Griffin Brewery on the banks of the Thames in Chiswick, West London. The company owns and operates over 385 pubs across the south of England and brews a world-renowned range of beers including London Pride, Chiswick Bitter and ESB.

Black Cab Stout is one of the latest creations from Fuller’s famous brewery. Brewed with a combination of five different malts, some heavily roasted for a near jet black appearance, Black Cab Stout is 4.2% ABV and beneath its dark exterior features luxurious red berry notes, toasty aromas on the nose and culminates in a dry, bitter finish.

About Hailo

Hailo is the evolution of the hail – a free smartphone app that uses GPS technology to make sure people are never more than two taps away from a licensed taxi, and that cabbies get more passengers when they want them.

Founded by three London black cab drivers and three internet entrepreneurs, Hailo is backed by Wellington Partners and Atomico Ventures, the investors in Spotify and founder of Skype as well as Facebook backer Accel Partners.
