Upham Brewery has reported successful sales figures for its summer craft ale, Fields of Gold, after the brew sold a staggering 32,256 pints since its launch in April to August 2016.
Part of the south of England’s fastest growing pub company and brewery group, Upham sold 112 brewer barrels in this short time frame, making it one of the brewery’s most successful ales.
Fields of Gold is a light gold 3.8% ABV brewed using Pilsner malts blended with new world hops. The result gives the ale a subtle malt and hop flavour, great paired with summer salads, grilled chicken or fish dishes.
Furthermore, sales of the beer have contributed to the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Beerflex delivery scheme, which has seen 100 million pints of independently craft-brewed beer sold since its inception in 2002.
The success of Fields of Gold comes at an exciting time for Upham Brewery, as it looks forward to the launch of its new season ales, Furlong and Autumn Leaves. Launching early September, ruby coloured Furlong is brewed using a blend of oats and barley for a smooth rich body, well hopped with a subtle blend of American and German hops whilst Autumn Leaves is a Pilsner Malt, married with fruity hops from the new world for a soft ale.
