Great British Beer Festival to host whisky tasting for the first time

The Festival has had a gin bar for many years but, this year, for the first time, it will be hosting a beer and whisky tasting.

Taking place on Thursday afternoon, thanks to the support of the Queen’s Head in Acton Street, WC1, the price is only £28. Great value for 4 x 25 ml of Scotch malt whisky and 4 beers.

Guild Member and World Whisky Judge, Christine Cryne said “Whisky and beer are a natural fit; after all, they are both made from malt, water and yeast. I’ll be starting with an accessible Speyside whisky and then moving on to whiskies from the wonderful Tomatin and Arran distilleries plus one from Torabhaig, the new distillery on Skye, all matched with four tasty beers. Going to be a great afternoon”.

Look out to hear about the details of the fourth whisky shortly. To book, see: https://tinyurl.com/whisky-tasting

The Great British Beer Festival takes place 1-5th August at Olympia.
