12 beers of lockdown Father’s Day gift
Whether you’ve been separated from your dad and missing him during lockdown, he’s a busy key worker or you’ve been isolating at home together and you’ve driven him to distraction, we reckon dads across the UK deserve an extra pat on the back this Father’s Day. With pubs closed for now, a Father’s Day visit to his local may be off the cards this year, but Greene King has just the present to lift the spirits of the dads everywhere.
Greene King is launching the ideal gift, the first ever beer Dadvent Calendar containing the essential 12 beers of lockdown. The new limited edition boxes, specially for Father’s Day (Sunday 21 June), are available online from today at www.greenekingshop.co.uk for just £22.00 a box inclusive of VAT, excluding delivery.
The pre-mix selection box, containing some of the nation’s favourite beers, is emblazoned on the outside with quirky beer puns and has serrated punch through holes on the top for easy access to the beer of the day.
The mixed box contains twelve bottles of beer – Greene King IPA, Abbot Ale, Abbot Reserve, Icebreaker Pale Ale, Old Speckled Hen, Old Golden Hen, Old Crafty Hen, East Coast IPA, XX Mild, Ruddles County, Belhaven Black and Belhaven 1719.

A perfectly balanced beer, characterised by its light and crisp hoppy taste. 3.6% ABV.
Abbot Ale (1 x 500ml bottle)
Brewed for longer using pale, amber and crystal malts, making it a full flavoured, smooth and mature beer. 5% ABV.
