17 Greene King Pub Partner pubs across England have been serving a special ‘Suffragette Ale’ this International Women’s Day.
Originally devised by Greene King Pub Partners licensee Sean White of the The Queen’s Head in Pinner, the ‘Suffragette Ale’ was first served for International Women’s Day back in 2018, but only in The Queen’s Head.
This year, 17 Greene King Pub Partners licensees have served the ‘Suffragette Ale’ in their pubs for International Women’s Day, ranging from Wine Vaults in Banbury, North Oxfordshire to The Ostrich in Castle Acre, Norfolk.
Seven pubs in London alone have served the ale, including Top 50 Gastro Pubs 2022 pub The Red Lion & Sun in Highgate.
Tim Sparrow, Business Development Manager for Greene King Pub Partners, said:
“I am delighted to see so many of our partners across England serve the Suffragette Ale and support International Women’s Day.
“Our partner’s pubs are at the heart of their communities and have a vital role to play in marking important occasions like this, so here at Pub Partners we do all we can to support them in doing that.
“I would like to personally thank Sean White, Partner at The Queen’s Head in Pinner, for devising and sharing the Suffragette Ale so our other partners could partake in this activity.”
