We are delighted to announce that as part of ongoing investment in our estate, we are currently undertaking a major £1.2 million transformation of The Westminster Arms.
Located in the heart of political London, a stone’s throw from the Houses of Parliament, the historic pub dates back to the 19th century and still boasts a division bell by its bar.
The project began in January, with the new-look pub set to reopen to customers on Monday, March 17.
Work includes a full external redecoration, including new signwriting and awning. Inside, all areas of the spacious pub – including the Queen Anne dining room on the first floor, and downstairs cellar bar – are being completely renovated, with new furniture and décor.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, an all-electric kitchen is being installed, and the pub’s cellar is being upgraded with the latest energy-saving technology. It will also have new energy-saving fridges and LED lighting throughout.
The Westminster Arms will be open every day, offering a delicious new menu of light bites and pub classics, including a traditional Sunday roast and exclusive signature Roasted Pork Tomahawk dish, using locally sourced ingredients where possible.
An extensive selection of award-winning Shepherd Neame beers will be available, along with a selection of acclaimed English wines. There will also be a particular focus on premium spirits, including a list of 35 different whiskies and new range of cocktails.
To celebrate its new look and offer, we are holding an official launch event at the pub on Tuesday, March 25.
It is taking place from 6pm to 7.30pm, with canapés and drinks provided for guests, and a presentation to be made by our Chief Executive Jonathan Neame.
We would be delighted if you and a guest could join us for this special celebration.
