Guild Member Request for Help – Brewery Sustainability

Onboard Hospitality is a B2B magazine with 25,000 subscribers. It covers all aspects of hospitality aboard airlines, cruise ships, ferries and trains. The theme of the next edition is sustainability.

I would like to reach out to members for input.

The first is for a feature. I am looking to source examples of breweries that have adopted sustainable measures and understand their benefits. I’d like to include quotable comments from representatives of breweries that answer the following questions:

  • What do you regard at the best example of a sustainable measure that you have adopted since the beginning of the pandemic (and what benefits does it bring you)?
  • What has prompted you to adopt sustainable practices?
  • Are there downsides to becoming more sustainable from a business perspective?
  • Sustainability is not just about reducing emissions. In the broader sense, it may include introducing processes and working practices that have a positive environmental input or improve employee or customer satisfaction. Do you have examples that you would like to discuss, along with their pros and cons?
  • In what way does your brewery play a role with the local or regional circular economy?

Please could respondents provide the name and job title of the person that should be quoted. Please can you supply a high-resolution image (or selection) for use in the magazine.

The second is for a page called ‘Take Your Pick’, in which we list six examples of a product, outlining what it is and its characteristics. I’d like to suggest six beers that are carbon neutral, environmentally friendly or sustainable in notable ways. Suggestions are welcome.

I would like to get inputs by the close of business on Monday 16 January, please.

Please email: stuart.forster@onboardhospitality.com with responses.
